Suheil Tandon was one of my MSc Sport Management project students. Under my supervision he investigated the determinants of student sports participation, its frequency and duration and subsequent impact upon subjective well-being. This was a challenge as the research techniques and analysis extended beyond that covered in taught material. Pro Sport Development (PSD) is a social enterprise dedicated to using sport to aid in the holistic development of children and youth. Since its inception in 2013, PSD has gained extensive experience in designing, implementing and evaluating different sports-based programs. Our expertise ranges from delivering sports-based programs in a variety of settings to developing and delivering training of trainers programs to working with grassroots sports projects and organisations to help them manage and implement their programs more effectively. As Director-Founder of PSD, I am responsible for providing strategic direction to the organisation and ensuring sustainability and growth in its core areas. I supervise the initiation and implementation of projects delivered by PSD, facilitating adequate human resource placement and ensuring programs are delivered effectively, maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Dr. Martha Farrell was a passionate civil society leader and adult educator, renowned and respected in India and around the world for her work on gender equality and women’s empowerment. She undertook pioneering work on sexual harassment at workplaces in India and also trained thousands of grassroot women leaders for local governance. She was among 14 people killed in a Taliban attack on a guest house in Kabul, Afghanistan on May 13, 2015, where she had gone to conduct a gender training workshop with the Aga Khan Foundation. The Martha Farrell Foundation (MFF) has been set up to carry forward Martha’s spirit and legacy with the overall goal of achieving gender equality, women’s empowerment and feminism in everyday life, in India and around the world. As co-founder of Pro4Sport Solutions, I was engaged in a variety of activities including business development, financial management, program development, implementation and monitoring, HR management as well as talent management. I managed the following projects as part of Pro4Sport Solutions: 1. Khel Vikas, Odisha Initiated, developed and managed a sport development project in rural Odisha, with globally recognised social enterprise Gram Vikas. Khel Vikas seeks to provide access and resources to tribal and underprivileged youth to allow them regular and sustainable participation in sport, as well as supports those with the talent and desire, a platform to excel at elite levels. 2. Greenshoots Sports Acting as turnkey consultants on a children's health and fitness program for Greenshoots Pvt. Ltd., we undertook a market research, developed specialised sports and fitness programs and assisted in recruiting and training sports professionals to manage and implement these programs. 3. Community Coaching, New Delhi Led community based coaching in a variety of sports at different centres.

With the assistance and guidance of Dr. David Stephens, I undertook a quantitative research analysing how player revenues affect individual and team performances in the Indian Premier League, a Twenty20 cricket league in India. I conducted statistical analysis with the data collected and prepared a research paper for publication in statistical and sports journals.
