I began as the sports editor at the Westlock News—on top of putting together the weekly sports section. At the Mirror, I was basically responsible for the entire paper—I wrote all the stories and took all the pictures contained in the weekly. I wrote the editorials, all features and brought the paper its first two provincial awards in a decade. I also covered two election campaigns and interviewed two Canadian prime ministers. I also wrote for our sister paper, the Redwater Tribune. At the Mirror, I was basically responsible for the entire paper—I wrote all the stories and took all the pictures contained in the weekly.
