Firmware development for Electronics Design Services contracted to Nuvation. Many projects were completed. A summary + 4K 3D Projection System - Running applicaiton on NIOS processors on multiple Altera FPGAs - Wrote C++ simulation of image processing for data input/ouput of RTL test bench - Applicaiton and TCP/IP stack fit within 2MB NOR flash + Product Upgrade - Provided an upgrade to reinstall Linux OS and file system from NAND flash to local micro SD. - Modficiations to x-loader, u-boot and kernel to support this upgrade. - Supplied the upgrade as a bash script that repartitioned the SD micro card to introduce boot partition. +Internet of Things Product Managed a small team of software engineers that developed a IoT product that included: - Multiple control boards communicating with basestation over ISM 915MHz radio. - Thermal controller for refrigeration unit with cooling fans - Graphical display boards cycling through downloaded media files and displaying local data - Local IR proximity sensor interacting with customers. - An NFC reader for tags on local filter. - Base station collects and reports data to cloud server developed with AWS.
