Dr. Steve Legacy joined the NFTE Mid-Atlantic team in February 2016, leading the program team in expansion, teacher recruitment and training, program delivery, curriculum implementation, and quality assurance. Steve brings with him over 25 years of experience implementing and expanding educational programs for youth with limited resources. He values the unique learning opportunities that NFTE provides to students through the development of an entrepreneurial mindset: a set of knowledge, attitudes, and skills that enhance a young person’s ability to think and act like an entrepreneur. NFTE fosters the creation of businesses and the development of an adaptable, driven and opportunity-focused workforce that ultimately promotes economic stability. Steve is committed to continuing the 30-year tradition of developing NFTE graduates who demonstrate greater occupational aspirations, increased interest in attending higher education, and strive for a more successful future, both personally and professionally.
