  I lead the Centre's research agenda on terrorist financing and countering the financing of terrorism (CFT). Current projects include: a study on the financing patterns of and CFT responses to lone-actor and small cell terrorists in Western Europe; CFT capacity-building for private sector entities in Jordan; and ongoing research support for a multi-year EU-funded project on strengthening CFT architecture in EU and Council of Europe member states.

  As Assistant Editor, I provided content/copy-editing, proofreading and project management service across all of the institute's publications, including research papers, conference reports, book-length monographs, op-eds and blog articles, as well as the outputs of a large, multi-year project with international partners that is funded by major tech companies. I managed the type-setting and design of articles for the Newsbrief online magazine, and also commission articles for the publication from external authors. I conducted quality-control on external publications and communications, including website copy, newsletters and brochures. I worked on material on a broad range of topics related to defence and security studies in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, including violent extremism, financial and organised crime, defence industries and military policy/spending and international relations.

  As an Editorial Assistant I provided administrative and editorial support to the Publications team, including through liaising with printers to ensure delivery to agreed deadlines, preparing content for online publication using CMS, identifying and contacting subject-matter experts as potential reviewers, and picture research. I also edited and proofread articles and report for clarity, accuracy, substance and style. I managed the production process of over 20 research papers and reports, from manuscript submission to publication.

  I served as a Junior Policy Adviser with the Permanent Mission of Canada to the UN in New York. I reported on events at UN headquarters, including meetings of the Security Council and Peacebuilding Commission. I drafted over 100 diplomatic reports with analysis on developments related to Canada’s foreign policy objectives. Additionally, I was in charge of content creation, approval, and translation for the mission’s bilingual Twitter account, and provided social media and communications support for high-level visits by the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
