Summer Intern/ Office Automation Clerk
-
Jun 2008 - Aug 2010
As an Automation Clerk with the Office of Aviation and International Affairs, I independently prepared responses (Notice of Actions Taken correspondence) to inquiries from major airlines requesting permission to fly within the United States air space. I redesigned the organization’s Excel spreadsheet used to document the “Notice of Actions Taken”, to provide the information in a format that was user/customer friendly. As a result of my actions, I prepared and presented an introduction and tutorial on the use of the revised “Notice of Actions Taken” spreadsheet to my supervisor and other members of the staff. During my internship, I utilized word processing software to perform a wide range of clerical assignments. The assignments included, but were not limited to, formatting draft documents into a final form for signature, collecting and arranging documents and materials from a number of electronic sources for incorporation into final package formats. I provided support services to the office staff, developed spreadsheets, maintained manuals, electronic office records and files, and supplied detailed information in response to various inquiries. In addition, I was responsible for meeting and greeting guest visitors to the office as well as the agency for special departmental programs. Show less
