Yearning for the flavours of home, I wanted to bring the spirit of Swedish culture to the heart of Sydney. In 2013 I set up Sydney’s first Scandinavian eatery with two fellow Swedes, Diana and Linda. We named it Fika, a Swedish word that translates to “taking a break for coffee and a bite to eat”. From homemade, authentic food to minimalist design, our kitchen has become the hub for all things Scandinavian. At Fika I love to constantly develop our branding, populate our website, photograph our food, plan and advertise our many Swedish holiday celebrations, improve work processes and explore future business opportunities.
