I taught general education and co-taught general education and special education classes of Algebra I Part 1, Algebra 2, Algebra, Functions, and Data Analysis, and AP Computer Science Principles. I have taught anywhere from 105-150 students per year. During the 2020-2021 school year, we remained virtual through late April 2021, however I remained virtual for a variety of reasons. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching online at the end of the 2019-2020 school year and all the 2020-2021 school year. I formed bonds with my students through Zoom, email, messaging, etc. and loved the challenge of coming up with ways to best teach students with all styles of learning through a computer but also how to demonstrate mastery of the content area. Within the school, I am often the general education teacher asked to join IEP, SEC, and 504 plan meetings (when available), due to my extensive background in special education. Some of the platforms used are Quizizz, IXL, Khan Academy, TeacherMade, Wizer.me, Padlet, Google Suite, and more. I created and posted numerous instructional documents and videos of lessons and examples using Canvas and Google Classroom. Teaching online had its challenges, but it has also had its successes. In addition to my teaching duties, I was selected to be a part of a Teacher-Principal Advisory Committee and served both years I taught at LTHS. The committee was formed to keep the lines of communication open between teachers and administrators with confidentiality in place to protect all parties and to encourage teachers to speak their minds about what works, what needs improvement, and what they would like to see. This committee was able to provide our administration with feedback and several items that were suggested were put into motion by our administration almost immediately. Being a part of this committee was a very rewarding experience. Show less

I was responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of running a 14 bay Goodyear Service Center including keeping up-to-date with the latest repair technology including reprogramming computers and TPMS sensors, to the latest scan tools and tires. I have worked very hard to learn this industry and to run a successful business, and continue that work on a daily basis. I love what I do, I love our customers, and look forward to every day and to learning something new along the way.
