CHIVA Africa transforms the lives of children and adolescents exposed to and living with HIV to lead healthy and productive lives. Our beneficiaries are two-pronged - a child or adolescent exposed to or living with HIV and the healthcare provider delivering life-saving treatment and care. Children and adolescents are still most affected by the HIV epidemic and must access life-saving treatment. CHIVA facilitates this access and ensures that those most in need receive treatment. Not only does CHIVA facilitate access but empowers healthcare workers to deliver treatment and care. However, children and adolescents also need the support of their families and the communities in which they live to thrive and CHIVA works to capacitate and educate caregivers, families and community members to support children and adolescents living with HIV to reach their full potential.
