Working as an Onshore/Offshore Technician for a company called Quick Flange. Quickflange provides a safe and cost effective solution using weld neck flanges which are used as a permanent connection with no hot work involved. When I am working in the workshop, my tasks are varied from de mobilising tool kit that have been offshore, mobilising equipment including the Logistics side of requesting MMTs etc.completing half yearly function tests of the tooling and updating Certificates Of Conformity Offshore I am working along side a small team provided by the client. The team including myself, a pipefitter and a rigger work along side communicating to install and pressure test the new permanent connection. When pressure testing I use a basic set up of tangy pump, flange joint tester, manifold, 0-30 bar gauge and a chart recorder. During this role I am representing the company and I am there to assist in any queries or questions that the client may have.
