  Sarah Guthrie, ActivOT Gumeracha, was born and raised in the Adelaide Hills. She completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of South Australia in 2001. Since graduating Sarah has gained extensive experience in inpatient service provision, in both the adult acute and rehabilitation settings. Over the years Sarah has developed more specialised experience and interest in the areas of neurology, stroke and dementia. Sarah has high-level skills in: discharge planning assistive technology prescription home modifications Activities of Daily Living assessments. Sarah Guthrie has a strong understanding of the unique skill set which occupational therapists have to offer. She has a strong focus on occupation and maximising occupational performance. Sarah understands the importance of client centred care and enjoys seeing individuals given the opportunity for choice and control to achieve their goals and quality of life. Sarah lives in Gumeracha on a large sheep and cattle farm with her husband and three busy boys. Sarah loves the country lifestyle and very rarely leaves the hills! When she is not running around after her boys Sarah enjoys squeezing in a few walks with Bingo the dog, Pilates, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Show less
