I have had the pleasure of working with Sarah in the Peer Leader organization since 2012 and can honestly say she is the epitome of what makes a great Peer Leader. Every year, she mentors up to 20 students and knows exactly how to make each one feel right at home and open up to new experiences in college that help prepare them for future success. Her work in the Fundraising, Advising and MIE200 committees have shown how resourceful she is and how easily she is able to lead the team in the right direction. For Sarah, leading comes naturally. When it comes to her first year students and her other responsibilities within the organization, Sarah is more than willing and capable of going above and beyond. She is extremely passionate and dedicated in everything she is involved in. Sarah fully commits and her professionalism never waivers.

Sarah’s ability to communicate and manage effectively make her an excellent leader. I have had the pleasure of working with Sarah in multiple undergraduate accounting courses as well as in two leadership organizations: Peer Leaders and Beta Alpha Psi. I have been a Poole College of Management Peer Leader with Sarah from April 2013 to the present time. Sarah has mentored approximately 30 total first-year students while serving as committee-head and contributing to service and social events. She has demonstrated her ability to lead peers, coordinate events, and improve the organization as a whole. During the Fall 2014 semester, I was fortunate enough to hold a candidate position during Sarah’s term as President of Beta Alpha Psi. Sarah coordinated technical meetings with international and local firms, informed and updated the current members, and presided over all meetings. Sarah excelled when faced with a firm cancellation and member/candidate issues, while steering the organization in a positive direction. Above all, I was impressed with Sarah’s organization, communication, and leadership skills. Sarah would be a great asset to any team, as she never fails to lend a hand to a peer in need. Sarah earns my highest recommendation.
