I was an animation student at the Art Institute the time Santosh Oommen was Directing the Media Arts and Animation program that recieved alot of valuable help from him. He would help anyone that he thought was serious about the Animation profession followed by a very intelligent answer. He was, and still is a good help with many artists still struggling to find work in this industry with art skills and entertainment experience to prove it.

Santosh is by far the best lead I have working for. He cared deeply about every one of his students and equally cared about his instructors. He would do anything for either. He was always there to help guide, encourage, challenge, and push his students and instructors to perform at their peak. He was always able to provide a great work space where his students could thrive and his instructors be unhindered. He had a saying about the school: the developing artist's oasis in the desert. One of the most exciting things that he made possible was to bring the industry to the students. He was able to fly out top tier industry professionals which both instructed and inspired the students as they embarked on their journey of artistic mastery. He has more passion for helping others than any other person I have ever met. He is a diamond in the rough. I was blessed to have had the chance to work with him.
