We provide a free tool enabling Buyers to quickly and easily put forward their requirements and requests for quotes, and in return they receive a wide selection of responses from suitable suppliers capable of providing the service required. We represent and are funded by around 400 UK based Subcontract Manufacturers who offer a diverse range of services such as Machining, Fabrication, Sheet Metal, Moulding, Casting and Electronics. These Suppliers subscribe to our Membership and in return we provide them with a steady stream of live leads for them to quote on and expand their client base. As Sourcing and Membership Support Manager, I oversee a team of highly skilled Sourcing Account Managers who develop strong business relationships with buyers who are actively seeking UK suppliers. Qimtek Ltd focus on helping these buyers by putting them in direct contact with UK suppliers capable of providing the service the buyer requires. Our Members who are UK based Manufacturing Suppliers are supported by the Sourcing and Membership Support team as the enquiries we get from Manufacturing buyers are filtered out to them, providing them access to buyers outsourcing and looking for new suppliers in real time.

Being one of Qimtek ltd top performers within the New Sales Team I relished taking on this role and applying my experience to support Qimtek’s client base. Since January 2013 as the Customer Care Manager our returning customer rate has increased steadily by nearly 30%. I was solely responsible for looking after 60%-70% of the companies Turnover reporting at board level on a monthly basis. The department a was recently changed to the Membership Support Team as this gave a better indication of our services to our clients. In 2015 I became part of a Change Management Team under the direction of the owner of the company, to restructure the Qimtek Sourcing department in order for it to work more effectively and produce higher results. The Sourcing Team is now producing more enquiries for our clients and the team work targets are being met and surpassed. As Qimtek is a live lead service, not all our clients come from a sales background. My role as Customer Care Manager was to liaise and advise the best way to respond to these enquiries, help our clients follow up and secure work and guide them as to how to get the most out of their subscription. My commission was targeted on how many projects with engineering plans I received each month. I maintained these targets successfully until I was asked to pilot another product that merged with the sales department. This was a 3 month secondment and afterwards I was asked to join the sales team.
