I work with small and medium sized business in Norwich and the wider UK to provide consultancy primarily related to Equity, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and also within Human Resources. It's important to note these are very different fields, but I have experience as a practitioner in both! I love working with people getting started with discussions around EEDI and how to embed just processes in their work, and supporting organisations getting a solid foundation to their operation. Race Equity Project Lead

Working as part of the Equity & Accountability Unit at SOAS University of London, my remit has been to start the institution's journey on Advance HE's Race Equality Charter, support exploratory work on the introduction of a race related restorative forum, as well as a portfolio of other work including: coordinating an inclusive recruitment project, coordinating the Worldmaking Beyond SOAS initiative and planning of the 2022 conference, co-creating inclusive language guidelines and supporting the institutional EDI Network. Working within the EDI Office in the People & Culture Division, I was the main support for UEA's first submission to AdvanceHE's Race Equality Charter (REC). Alongside this I was involved with other campus-wide interventions on race equity, including the Vice Chancellor's Taskforce on Tackling Racism, providing administrative and facilitation support to the BAME Staff Network, and acting as Secretary for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Administering the HR function of the union and being responsible for the recruitment and maintaining of documentation for around 100 permanent and 300 student staff, I also work to update filing systems, monitoring data on our staff and overseeing training.During my time I have developed our recruitment process with the goal of improving equality and diversity, and I'm in the process of overhauling our HR software systems.

This included planning events, logistical thinking, being well versed in health and safety, and working with a range of teams to achieve a common goal. Ultimately we produced one of the strongest Freshers' Week's at UEA.
