In this role, I am responsible for overseeing multiple areas of IT operations covering software engineering, platform system development, technical project management, information security, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure enhancement. Other duties include managing the development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP), orchestrating staff augmentation, and managing P&L functions for several projects, which account for $2.5M (CapEx) in custom development revenue, and $3.5M (OpEx) in recurring yearly revenue. Coordinate all aspects of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development and staff augmentation in collaboration with third-party suppliers.Significant accomplishments include: ● Enhanced message management capability through the design and end-to-end coding of a high-volume EDI messaging system capable of efficiently handling roughly 3M messages on a daily basis. ● Developed the solution architecture for a next-generation B2B system engine, which enabled it to scale according to the business requirements of customers. ● Spearheaded the development of a cloud-based Crew Management software product, which currently holds a 40% market share within the US, together with Crew Attendance Management software across several Class 1 railroads. ● Led the deployment of Random Drug Testing software at several Class 1 and other railroads. ● Orchestrated transition of legacy systems from mainframe to distributed systems; modernization program increased application performance by 60%. ● Championed the adoption of single codebase with the engineering team; reduced time to market by 40% and reduced maintenance by 30%. ● Directed and guided a team of 20+ engineers in technical and systems architecture across multiple projects; improved team efficiency by 20%. ● Collaborated with the Enterprise Architecture Council to develop a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligned with the company's long-term vision; resulting in a 20% reduction in IT spend.
