Detail oriented, skilled in scripting, strong work ethic and collaborative are words that describe Richard Stacy. I had the opportunity of being assigned to work on several projects with Rick as the project manager. As a detail oriented person, I quickly noticed his thoroughness in outlining project requirements and timelines to be met. Most notable was the project to decommission two managed file transfer servers. He presented the team with the current flow chart and detailed listing of impacted clients. He lead regularly scheduled conference calls and discussions resulting in the team being successful in re-architecting a new flow to decommission the servers. The new process also required new scripts be written to process the hundreds of client data files that would be impacted by this change. Rick’s wealth of knowledge of how his client’s processed allowed him to write new scripts that would move client files from a Windows environment to a UNIX/LINUX processing environment and send notifications for failures or success. Because of his attention to detail, Rick took the time to include comments in his code, which enabled others to learn and understand the processing steps. Rick’s approach to script writing has been an example to me as I begin to write code. It was always a privilege to work as a team member on Rick’s projects as I knew he was not only dedicated to the team achieving a successful outcome, but also supportive in helping others grow their knowledge of processes and skills. I am confident Rick Stacy will provide the same level of detail and commitment, which I experienced while working with him at Broadridge, to any business fortunate to have him as an associate.
