I have recently finished my PhD at the IPPP under the supervision of Prof. Valya Khoze. My thesis focuses on theoretical & computational techniques to determine the physics that underpins our universe.Specifically, I have investigated the behaviour of the Higgs Boson in various regimes:1) At colliders: with the Higgs Boson finally found in 2012, we are keen to know more about its properties. Work involves simulating the Large Hadron Collider detector environment for various possible scenarios and comparing to experimental results.2) At high energies: complex mathematical analysis of the Standard Model as a Quantum Field Theory gives clues for the high-energy behaviour and the Higgs in extreme limits.3) In cosmology: some properties of the Higgs Boson, as currently understand, are rather arbitrary. Searches for mechanisms to explain these properties and solve other cosmological problems are very popular.I have also worked on some machine learning using TensorFlow/Pandas/SciKit-Learn.To see my publications follow the link below to my INSPIRE HEP page.During my PhD, on top of the specific technical skills required, I have developed advanced problem-solving skills and have written programs in various languages including Python, C++. I have also obtained skills in other areas:• Communication: outreach talks, teaching, giving presentations, organising conferences• Graphics & Social Media: organising & advertising conferences, making posters• Teamwork: every project is a collaboration, often with people working in different parts of the world and different timezones.• Networking: attending conferences around Europe, being involved in their organisation.• Adaptation & Quick Learning: frequently given a task that involves exposure to a new technology, which must be grasped quickly. In tandem with my role as a PhD student, I have opted to teach in undergraduate physics workshops. This involves providing support, answering questions and encouraging students to think analytically in group sessions. The specific modules I have taught are:2016-2017: Theoretical Physics 22017-2018: Theoretical Physics 22018-2019: Theoretical Physics 2 &Theoretical Physics 32019-2020: Theoretical Physics 2

I was a visiting PhD student and lecturer at UCR (Universidad de Costa Rica). I integrated into university working life, with regular meetings and seminars, all conducted in Spanish. I gave English lectures on masters-level Modern Cosmology. I was a visiting PhD student and lecturer at UCR (Universidad de Costa Rica). My work primarily concerned test automation for their automotive mobile application, using UI automators and the Android Debug Bridge developed for Android OS (see https://www.realvnc.com/services/automotive.html). During my time at RealVNC I developed computing skills in areas that I had not encountered in my physics degree such as using Git and GitHub for version control and environment customisation via dot files.
