Reed is without a doubt one of the best managers/supervisors that I’ve had the pleasure of working with and being managed by. He is one of the most knowledgeable and talented developers I’ve ever been around and he has a deep tool belt of both frontend and backend technologies that he’s well-versed in. Reed has the ability to pick up and learn new technologies and become proficient with them in a short amount of time and I witnessed that firsthand while working with him at Roadpass Digital. Not only are Reed’s technical skills top-notch, but so are his interpersonal skills. Reed is extremely easygoing and friendly, which makes working with and being mentored by him an absolute joy. As a manager and mentor, Reed was always supportive, encouraging, and always willing and patient to explain intricate processes to me. Reed would be able to fit into any team and immediately make positive impacts. Working with Reed made my tenure at Roadpass Digital much more enjoyable and I hope to be able to work with him again in the future.

My relationship with Reed started by outcome of organizational change. As a newcomer to a mature project, Reed worked within entirely new conditions without introduction, remained impartial to technicalities, and delivered on time. Aside from crushing it as an individual contributor, his sentiment for the team was always in their best interest, helping them along the way too. Additionally, his knowledge within Google Analytics 360 Suite (Tag Manager, Analytics, Optimize), and integrating with ad networks, were unmatched at the company. I’d recommend Reed as a good fit for a high velocity, agile, team.

I started off as a Senior Software Engineer on the Roadpass team working on the front end of a company-owned OAUTH system for our other brand applications. After completing that project I was promoted to run the engineering team on a newly acquired website and app called RVillage. RVillage is a social network site and app dedicated to RV owners. After doing that for about a year I was promoted again to Principal Software Engineer and moved into a position where I can work on one-off company initiatives across multiple teams. Show less

As the senior developer on a team of content developers building content for in-store digital display, kiosks and menu systems using web technologies. My responsibilities include architecting scalable and reusable menu display content for clients. Building creative and unique customer order displays that integrate with existing store ordering systems. I developed and managed an internal Chrome Extension for our menu content developers and included testing and development tools specifically for our developer's needs. Show less

My team and I completely redesigned Fonts.com in 2015 . Added a new font browsing system. Implemented a new on the fly font rendering system to showcase our fonts in real time and in the text, color and style they are looking for. We added a new search filtering system to make finding fonts easier. I also implemented and ran Google Tag Manager across the entire company. Built tools to help our marketing department run A/B testing, track user interactions across several websites. My team and I completely redesigned Fonts.com in 2015 . I was contracted to build a maintenance tracking application for Hitachi. This app needed to have iOS and Android native app with a web-based admin system.. I built them a Cordova/PhoneGap application using all web technologies with a REST API built with Node. This gave the customer one code base for iOS, Android and a responsive website. I was contracted to help build a Chrome Application that would be used to calibrate blood analyzing machines in medical labs. A Chrome notebook running this application plugs into the machine and analyzes the logs and recommends calibrations. It also provides a web-based dashboard for managing these machines. It uses BackboneJS, jQuery and Handlebars. I was contracted to help build a Chrome Application that would be used to calibrate blood analyzing machines in medical labs. Productive Edge is a development agency with many high profile clients. My main project at PE was serving as the lead front end developer for the TeeOff.com project. This was a fully responsive mobile first, tee time reservation website. Our team built this website from concept to completion. It features an SPA search filter system that uses Google maps API as a navigation option. I also served as lead front end developer on a project for Humana. It was a mobile health plan marketplace for finding affordable healthcare policies. Show less

My role at TrainSignal was to manage and improve a large JavaScript framework and to streamline its front end development and build process. I acted as the front end architect of a collaborative, tech savvy design team and a .NET development team. I also created and implemented new features and made improvements on our flag ship .NET website and a PHP Wordpress blog. KeyLimeTie is a development agency where we worked on many different projects at the same time. My main role was to build and maintain client websites and mobile application. I was usually asked to take on project that required heavy front-end technologies. Projects like responsive and mobile websites, native mobile applications using JavaScript, straight .NET and classic ASP applications of all sorts.
