I worked with Pooja on one facilitation projects and she is an incredible facilitator. The international project and workshop she worked to deliver was sensitive, complicated and very time restricted however I believe it was Pooja's strong capacity as a facilitator that helped deliver such a strong final video/result. The workshop Pooja led on didn't really fit the mould of typical participatory feedback and analysis however Pooja and her colleague worked very closely with us to tailor and accommodate the needs of our project and the participants in such a short time. Pooja took a concept that was very abstract and helped to translate this in a creative relatable way to our group. Participants and myself were very impressed by Pooja's ability to listen to an individuals story and turn this into a visual representation. She worked very closely with our group and participants to make them feel at ease and I believe it was through her confidence, skill and methods that Pooja was able to make our participants feel so comfortable and to share such personal experiences.

I worked with Pooja on a ten day workshop in Rwanda with ActionAid, where she facilitated a participatory video workshop with ten rural women. Pooja lept right in, build fantastic rapport with the women, and built on this throughout the workshop. She had a great talent for conveying technical knowledge into easy, bite size lessons that the women who had never picked up a camera before could understand. The results spoke for themselves. Every time the women did an exercise they learned something, Pooja held their attention all the time on long days, and the videos they created were great. The entire process was led by the women, as per the participatory approach, which resulted in two impactful films that really resonated with the local community at a final screening event. All the participants mentioned how great a teacher Pooja was, and how much they had learned because of her. Thank you Pooja!

Training participants from the MEV-CAM project on behalf of InsightShare. MEV-CAM is working alongside the GEF-6 Resilient Food Systems (RFS) to highlight the best practices achieved under the project, as they are defined and experienced by communities themselves. The countries involved in this training program are: Burkina Faso, Burundi, Malawi, Niger, Tanzania and Uganda. Moreover, MEV-CAM contributes to the implementation of the GEF-7 Dryland Sustainable Landscapes Impact Programme (DSL-IP) by training project participants on using participatory video approaches to upscale the work achieved in GEF-6. In this model, participatory video enables horizontal and vertical knowledge sharing by facilitating accessible community-to-community exchanges across distance and time while also delivering community-based knowledge, innovations and needs directly to decision makers.
