  I joined METS in June 2017. I started my career in 1979 in the structural fabrication industry after studying civil engineering at both Pretoria and Witswatersrand Technicons. After 9 years I joined Shaft Sinkers/METS where I worked for 14 years gaining valuable experience in shaft sinking and related mining activities. In 1992 I was promoted to 'Section Leader' in the drawing office, responsible for all drawing related activities on various projects.I started working for RSV (Pty) Ltd in May 2002. Since working for RSV, I was promoted first to 'Senior Section Leader' on the Impala No 16 Shaft Project and in 2006 as 'Virtual Office Manager'. As 'Virtual Office Manager' I was responsible to lead and manage all the design and drawing work for our sister company 'RSV USA' based in Phoenix Arizona USA. All this work was done from our Johannesburg offices. The construction work on this project was successfully completed in August 2009. As 'Virtual Office Manager', I was also responsible to developed valuable processes and procedures to perform engineering and design work globally. I was then promoted to 'Design Office Manager' responsible for all drawing teams in the RSV Group.After 15 years at RSV I was offered an opportunity to return to METS as CDE (Chief Design Engineer). We are currently investigating and setting up METS to evolve into a world class consultancyMy passion is drawing and engineering and I love the dynamics and excitement that surrounds engineering and design projects.
