  Having being fortunate to be involved in three station launches/general management I worked as a self-employed consultant to commercial radio companies for approx. three years. This busy period and varied work (sales training, sales concepts and seminar presentations) took me to all corners of the UK, R.O.I. and Isle of Man. I ceased on joining the then Wireless Group Plc (now UTV Media Plc) to establish an internal seminar division generating many GBP millions in revenue PA.   The third of my station launches and commercially most succesful! I joined the applicant group (with a small but significant financial interest) approx. six months prior. They had a successful history of RSL operation and were expert at everything bar sales! Arriving prior to launch to operationally secure early business, recruit and establish the team the launch was at the time the envy of the industry, further success followed in the early years as the station grew audience and revenues.   Hopped around on-air in the North West and was Sales Director of MFM/Marcher Sound (Coast, Buzz, Marcher in Chester & North Wales Coast - became Heart, now Capital) before resourcing and selecting the successful applicant group for the Chester Radio Licence (Now Dee 106.3) and then being instrumental in the succesful launch of Wish FM, Wire FM and Tower FM in Wigan, Warrington and Bolton respectively.
