      Co-Director of the special development of the Universal Kitchen at the Rhode Island School of Design--a major research project focusing on developing a New Universal Kitchen that would do the most good for the most people engaged in kitchen use. This special project continued over 5 years and involving over 100 students and 6 corporate sponsors and leading to multiple prototypes.. A final prototype kitchen was features in the Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York. Maytag Corporation purchased the UK Design Rights from RISD.

RISD later sold the rights to Maytag.
