Amsterdam Area, Netherlands Traditional industry took 150 years to discover statistics as a tool to improve productivity. AM is still toying with technology, but if it ever wants to really compete, they will have to adapt SPC to their toolbox. Digi Faber is unique in that we are able to almost instinctively find those data worth monitoring, and then propose strategies to gather and use them.

My task is to develop contacts, and preferably business, with both established Rapid Prototype/Small Series companies and new fab labs and 3D printing service bureaus. Challenges: Established routines which might be easily improved but people are used to, and competition with seemingly analogous services. Attraction for me: being part of the wave of people now rethinking the manufacturing industry, towards lower wastage, more clever resource usage through design dictated by functionality not production tools and materials, and, just around the corner, the decline of mass production. http://3dprint.com/90893/digifabster-crm-production/ Show less

Formulated a recommendation on the most apt technology supplier for Mondelez’ plants. 2. For Mondelez’ soluble coffee plant: Given the huge volumes of water used, first of all, did an analysis on how to reduce the water use. The theoretical exercise, thanks to the co-operation and ideas of Mondelez’ own project engineers, led to a theoretical reduction of 25 %. Studied the feasibility of using anaerobic processes for adequate wastewater treatment, sludge reduction and biogas production. Visited, together with a.m. project engineers, a site in the UK where anaerobic treatment had been implemented. Helped formulating the tender documents for the plant’s upgraded wastewater treatment plant.

Московская область, Россия Aligning 3 of the group's glass factories with the owners' vision of innovation, efficiency and profitability. At zero budget I improved furnace capacity at the worst-performing plant, in Spirovo, by 25 %, IS machine capacity by 40%. Unfortunately the company was near- bancrupt when I started and stopped paying salaries in October. I held on until March. Although officially employed until August, I left in March to do free-lance work for Mondelez.
