AXIS is an actuarial software platform that houses and projects investment and insurance liability data. o Prepare the starting dataset. Update datalink code for new assumptions and basis changes as necessary o Populate the information into GGY AXIS models. Run reports as requested by Managers and Directors and send for review. Ensure that all errors are eliminated and warnings are understood and properly explained ¬ Actuarial Model Analysis: o Ensure that asset entities in the dataset are complete and matches balance to the General Ledger. o Ensure that modeling assumptions implemented are within the existing guidelines and rules for that reporting period. If there are exceptions to these guidelines, analyst should be able to explain rationale behind the exceptions. o Ensure changes in portfolio yield and duration are viable and accurate. Should these exceed tolerance levels, analyst should be able to conduct analysis and is able to identify main drivers for the changes. o Gain understanding about information required for reserve calculations as prescribed by the Superintendent Office of Financial Institutions. ¬ Miscellaneous: o Assist project leader in providing necessary information and output and process testing on ad hoc projects.
