In the enrollment process, I was the first person a patient or community member got to meet when interested in PACE for themselves or another person. I got follow-up on leads and referrals, and educate potential enrollees about PACE benefits. I also got to present and answer any questions referral partners had. I assisted in growing the census from 70 to about 230.

The Latino Heritage Internship Program is a partnership between Hispanic Access Foundation and the National Park Service. My goal was to promote diversity and inclusion in the NPS workforce and visitation. I was directly invited to speak to the Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell, to speak about NPS's diversity, inclusion, and relevancy initiative.
