I unload trailers by hand then shrink wrap them. After that is done make sure the carton count and the actual cartons are correct then I make a plate for them and take off truck with a pallet jack. After the truck is completely unloaded and I make sure the numbers are correct I then take a forklift and stick them in the racking so they could be put away. I am the lead in this department and could be in charge of as many as ten gentlemen. Also when their is no trucks to be unloaded then I go to the picking department. In this department the orders come down and they are printed out on labels for the pickers to pick. All different kinds of product are picked from heavy to light product. After the picks are complete they are stuck on conveyer system or to the shipping department. These picks could be done on foot or on equipment. I am trained on forklift battery and propane operated, cherry picker and walkie riders. Show less

I would get my pick runs and use a headset system to pick the orders for shipment. When the orders were complete they would be taken with a walkie rider to the shrink wrap machine to be loaded onto trailers. Some days I would actually load the trailers. My job was to assist my boss however I did most of my work on the warehouse floor. Unloaded trailers with a forklift then put in racking. Broke down product and ran through a shrink wrap machine so that it could be picked. Actually picked orders and then packed them up and ran through a UPS machine. Got the employees started in the morning and answered any questions they had also helped train anyone new for their positions. Answered e-mails for my boss did the payroll for the temporary employees and sent them to the representatives. Worked as many hours as my boss would allow me. Hardly ever missed time only used the time that was given to me. Show less
