  Started career in Brighton in hot summer of '76 on the seafront beat. Moved to Gatwick Division and performed armed duties. Moved on to Hailsham for a touch of rural policing. Promoted back to Gatwick on anti terrorist armed unit. Moved on to Crawley for signficant period doing community policing and finished career in Horsham, where I live. 30 years of front line policing in uniform locking up the bad guys. First at scene of a plane crash and several murders, policed at miners strike, pope visit, tour de france leg, party conferences, many demos and training exercise with SAS.
