I have worked with Nick for 18 months now at ResponseTap to build a new Go to Market Strategy focussed on Enterprise accounts. Nick has proved himself to be a genuine asset to both ResponseTap but more specifically our Sales and Marketing team. Together we have implemented an ABM/ABS sales and marketing strategy to target large customers in a number of key vertical markets. He understands what Sales want to see from Marketing and works well with the sales lead to align them to work as one function, which in today’s market is an essential talent. They are not silos, but part of the same process. Nick engages with Sales very effectively and is both a great ideas man and also a sounding board. In terms of managing his teams, Nick has a very inclusive approach generating an environment focussed on positive outcomes. Not only that he works with his team to identify the key projects keeping his team on task to deliver them, working towards the bigger plan. Nick is a self-starter as well as a finisher. His work ethic is unquestionable. With his team Nick is a very effective mentor, supporting them in their aspirations to grow and also setting expectations of what they need to do to achieve them. He has immense experience to offer and you can see his team respond to that positively. As a person Nick is a pleasure to work with, he is consultative in his approach, prepared to challenge and discuss ideas and works well with other departments in the business. Nick is a great communicator, asks questions and is considered in the way in which he operates. He is commercially aware and ultimately driven by the metrics as much as the messaging. I trust his judgement. This for me makes him one of the most effective Marketing Leaders that I have worked with.
