In March 2016, I joined the firm A+A Assurance Services Ltd as Managing Director, with responsibilities to manage the company's full portfolio of audit clients and the team, providing auditing of financial statements and statutory audits. Assistant Audit Manager

After being promoted to the role of assistant manager, I was assigned a portfolio of clients, most of which I have already worked on, mainly in the retail, automotive and property sectors. My responsibilities include planning the audit engagement with respect to staff and timing, keeping in mind the economics of the job. Throughout the audit engagement, I was responsible to review the work of junior staff members and present the findings, together with a complete set of financial statements, to the partners and/or senior managers.

My responsibilities involved carrying out quality audit and other assurance services to clients in multiple industries. This necessitated the need to obtain all audit working papers and documentation of facts and findings. As a supervisor, I was also responsible to identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers, partners, and clients, as well as identifying performance improvement opportunities. My role also involved coaching junior colleagues and managing the economics of audit engagements.

During this period, I continued my work on the same portfolio assigned to me (retail, automotive and property sectors) but was also given more exposure to financial services clients.

Associate (Assurance)

In September 2011 I joined PwC as an associate in the assurance line of service. During my first two years, I worked on various external audit assignments of clients in various industries, varying from manufacturing and entertainment sectors to clients offering financial services. In May 2013, I was seconded to PwC Reading (UK) for three months where I worked as a Senior Associate on large clients in industries varying from the agricultural industry to telecommunications industry. I was also assigned a number of referred reporting audit engagements, necessitating the need to liaise with other foreign PwC offices.
