I am a multi-functioning cog in a hugely successful, dedicated and hard working mutli-site sales team for a company specialising in manufacturing in the medical, automotive, and aerospace industries. My time at Advanex has also seen me take on numerous projects outside the world of sales, primarily in marketing and external research, both helping the company achieve its brand image through creating social media strategies and training employees on LinkedIn, and collating over 1000 potential new customers and companies for Advanex to potentially collaborate with.As well as as aiding with sales queries and operating an in-office presence during the situation regarding Covid-19, I have used my experience from thriving in the journalism industry to research competition, potential suppliers and distributors, and many other facets of business in my role, providing my employers with hundreds of potential contacts every month.

Football Writer

English Football League 'Expert' for nationally renowned football website Football365, writing between six and 10 articles a month, ranging from opinion pieces to listicles, and everything in between.Regularly putting out pieces with five figure viewing numbers, owing to an equal measure of thorough research, careful and balanced consideration, and journalistic nous, my publications were regularly cited by fellow journalists as 'among, if not, the best work on Football365'.Although freelance writing has been put on hold until football resumes again in September/October, it has been a great opportunity to live out one my childhood dreams and see my writing published on a national website.

Supporting students with special educational needs in classroom and 1:1 settings.Whilst I didn't get to spend much time at Stoke Sixth Form due to personal reasons and staffing changes, my time spent there was so valuable. The relationship I built with a couple of students made every day bright and cheery, and knowing that I helped them realise their true value before they went to the big world of university is a feeling I will never forget. Supporting students with special educational needs in classroom and 1:1 settings, and aiding with external and internal communications. Specialist subject knowledge in English, Maths, and Sport. In my wonderfully fulfilling time at Wingfield, I single-handedly created and helped to implement a new SOW for mathematics - 'Rainbow Revision' - which taught low attaining students complicated mathematical procedures step by step with questions of increasingly levels of difficulty and a reward system in place, as well as a retrieval function with students setting their own question to answer in the future at a difficulty with which they felt comfortable. Even over a year since leaving Wingfield, I am proud to be able to say that Rainbow Revision is still used and loved by teachers and students at the school.

Media Assistant

Alongside the final year of my degree, I undertook an amazing apprenticeship with then National League football club York City as Media Assistant to the Media Officer. Working two days a week plus match days on a voluntary basis while having to pay for my own travel helped me to achieve a further level of independence while working for a professional football club realised one of my lifelong dreams.Despite a tough season on the pitch for York, who suffered a second successive relegation, personally, it was a year of so many highs. Among these highs were:-- Covering the club at Wembley on the official website, social media channels, and post match interviews in the FA Trophy victory over Macclesfield Town- Regularly contributing 20+ pages to every match day programme across the season- Being part of just a two man media team while winning the National League award for best matchday programme- Helping the club to become the most followed non-league club on social media in England- Being able to look back and realise that I achieved my dream of working for a professional football club and knowing nothing and nobody can ever take that away from me.

Program Editor

In my second year of university, alongside my studies, I formed part of the Rugby Championship club's media team and was designated Programme Editor just two weeks after accepting my original role on the media team.Given it was my first ever taste of working for a sports club at any level, it was a childhood dream realised. During my time at Dewsbury, I:-- Revamped the club's programme and social media channels, rebranding the match day programme to 'RamPages'- Regularly produced content at last minute to make sure every program went to print on time- Managed a team of regular and rotating voluntary contributors to produce content on par or better than many Super League clubs- Formed lasting friendships at the club and a lifelong affiliation with one of the sport's truly great, historic, and authentic outfits.
