I am appointed as M&E Inspector of Work based at site in Ipoh, Perak. Below are my work duties: • Study Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings including Architecture and C&S plan, and to raise or issue any discrepancies spotted for discussion with consultants and contractor. • Analyse, scrutinize, and check the project’s Work Program submitted by the contractor to identify the critical milestones and target date on every trade of works. • Liaise with person in charge (PIC) of PR1MA on monitoring contractor’s work progress at site. • Update the weekly progress report at site for PR1MA and KPKT’s report. • Follow-up with contractor and consultants on any issue or problem related to site progress such as material approval, shop drawings, revised plan, and defect rectification. • To ensure the effective communication between contractor and the local authorities particularly on the process of obtaining all the support letters from them for CCC purpose. • Record contractor’s daily activities and manpower at site. • Issue out Site Memo or Non-Compliance Report (NCR) to contractor for any issues that need immediate attention such as incorrect method of work, shortage of manpower, safety, failed to achieve target milestone, and site coordination. • Evaluate monthly progress claim by contractor in a joint valuation together with PR1MA, consultants, and contractor. • Attend the site meeting with contractors & consultants and prepare the minutes of meeting afterwards.
