Born in Iran and raised between France and Geneva, Mitra has a background in international relations and political science. She earned a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy (Institut des Hautes Études Internationales) at the University of Geneva, and completed her academic journey with a master’s degree in Security from Sciences Po Paris and a master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University (School of International and Public Affairs). After working for Dubai Government for four years, Mitra established Pink Tank with Daniel Camara in 2008 to leverage their strategic advisory consultancy experience for regional research and events. Mitra has launched conferences including the International Design Forum, the Arab Strategy Forum and the Celebration of Entrepreneurship. She is a co-editor of the Al Manakh series, together with leading architect Rem Koolhaas. In 2009, Mitra co-edited Al Manakh: Gulf Continued, a publication focusing on Gulf cities in the context of the crisis. As cofounder of Pink Tank, Mitra is the driving force behind Pink Tank’s natural chemistry with clients and is responsible for building its strong reputation of credibility, reliability and trustworthiness. Her capacity to grasp situations quickly, create direct and honest lines of communication with all stakeholders and find common ground in complex environments is invaluable to maintaining Pink Tank’s highly valued client relationships.
