Lead Resident Assistant
-
Aug 2014 - Sep 2016
Working as a Resident Assistant, I had the opportunity to become a leader in my community. Some of the different responsibilities I had in this position was working with a dynamic staff, overseeing a floor of residents, and planning programs. This position was great because I was able to build close relationships with people and learn how to think quickly in high pressure situations. Furthermore, in my current position as Lead Resident Assistant, I have the same responsibilities, however, I am now a mentor to the staff that I work with as well as the liaison between my supervisor and staff.

Conference Manager
-
May 2015 - Aug 2015
During the summer, UMBC has conference guests which are different groups of people who stay in the residence halls for events such as lacrosse camps, summer bridging programs, and religious groups. In this position, I would cater to these guests by overseeing a group of Conference Assistants to oversee the stay of the guests. Some of these tasks included organizing and preparing rooms, scheduling duty, and scheduling desk shifts. Furthermore, I would work with other Conference Assistants to plan check-ins and check-outs which involved coding key cards, billing, and other related tasks.
