      This role was created for me to bring order to a start-up consultancy. I initiated a culture of structure in a fluctuating, manic, client-facing environment by establishing robust operating and project management procedures and the underlying technology to enable the lean consultant team to deliver project scope within demanding timelines. In addition I facilitated an environment of trust and development by establishing people management processes and hierarchies. It was a challenging environment which was constantly in flux, experiencing both rapid growth and downsizing and I managed the team through extensive change, often dealing with intense emotions and stress across the business. I led by example, was hands on and alleviated workloads by constant prioritisation, resource management and getting stuck in. A large part of the role was ensuring that all customers were delighted with the service and had the necessary channels for escalation and issue reporting. As a result of our collective efforts and improved operating model, during my tenure we had a 100% client retention rate. Market changes changed the direction of the business.
