Project ZMBY is short for Project 中美笔友 (zhōng měi bǐ yǒu-Chinese American Pen Pals). Through Project ZMBY, US and Chinese middle school students are paired as online pen pals. By becoming pen pals with a student from another culture, our participants gain understanding about perspectives, backgrounds, and ideas outside of their own culture and community, and ultimately are given the opportunity to make a friend from another country. Currently, I am a Penpal and write to students in China about American customs, school, and traditions, while also learning about Chinese culture, traditions, and people. Show less
