During my tenure, I am pioneering new social media outlets and writing many historical monographs. I am overseeing the drafting of a new strategic plan and master plan. This job is allowing me to work closely and on a weekly basis with partnering organizations like the Smithsonian Institution, Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Nevada Desert Research Institute, Nevada National Security Site and University of Nevada Las Vegas. Other duties include:• Serving as CEO to Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation Board of Directors.• Museum representative to city, school board, county, state and federal elected officials.• Managing Distinguished Lecture Series with nationally recognized speakers.• Educating a multi-generational audience through interdisciplinary programming, engaging exhibits and lectures as we honor the men and women who have addressed the challenges of the nuclear age in war and peace. Honoring our nation’s Cold War-era veterans. • Serving as a premier STEM (and standards-based) educator for students from Southern Nevada and beyond and providing collection-based exhibits and related learning activities for greater public understanding and appreciation of the world in which we live.• Designing with my education staff creative programming to serve a diverse public of varied ages, backgrounds and knowledge. • Operating a transparent efficient business that sustains our mission as we serve not only as an employer, but a cultural asset for our community.

      I managed a six decades-old Dade County working railroad museum spanning fifty-five acres with 52,000 feet of display space and hosting sixty-three pieces of historic railroad engines and rail-cars, three of which are listed on the National Register as well as the former Presidential rail-car Ferdinand Magellan, Miami’s first National Historic Landmark. I pioneered, in coordination with eleven Florida Division of Cultural Affairs grants that I secured, a new emphasis in children’s-related events and interdisciplinary and multi-generational educational programming focusing on industrial arts displays.
