The holistic programme contributed to the Mayor of London’s target for a net zero carbon city by 2030 whilst ensuring the fleet maintained demanding operational requirements. • Established, managed and delivered the Zero Emission Pumping Appliance (ZEPA) Project - the UK's first ever electric powered fire appliance. • Led LFB's Decarbonisation Strategy and wider Carbon Net Zero Strategy • Led innovation feasibility studies and R&D projects relating to Zero Emission vehicles, charging infrastructure across LFB's 102 stations and pumping technology - notably: • Initiated the Innovate UK funded SpeComBat Project (in collaboration with WAE and Imperial College London) - a feasibility study to deliver a battery design, business case and supporting technical analysis for demanding performance and sustainability requirements • Initiated the Innovate UK funded HELP Project (in collaboration with FeTu) that developed and tested new pump technology to meet the London Fire Brigade’s technical requirements, including speed, pressure, flow, reliability, efficiency and energy consumption. • Chaired LFB's Zero Emission Vehicle Working Group Show less
