I've worked with Mark for several years whilst he was the group editor on various magazine titles including Life in North Wales and A+ Education. I can honestly say that he has been a 'breath of fresh air' to work with from a commercial perspective. He has a real commercial head on him as well as being an excellent editor. He would take time to work with the advertising department to ensure that there were always lots of editorial/advertising opportunities to present to clients for the mutual benefit of the magazines' revenue. Without Mark's help, we wouldn't have been able to achieve anywhere near the revenue's we achieved over the last few years and he has been an integral part of the success of both of these magazines that I worked on. He will be missed hugely and I am very happy to recommend him to any publisher looking for a commercially minded editor and a real team player.

I have had the pleasure of working alongside Mark, at Archant, for a great many years as a contributor and columnist for School Report. Through the years, we have shared thoughts and ideas about the educational content of various titles and our meetings have always been dynamic, creative and informed. School Report is a well-respected, high quality education magazine, freely distributed to parents, which reflects current education- related issues and comment- a real gem for parents! Mark is an exceptionally hard working and talented Editor. He is a great communicator, fun to work alongside and respectful of the views of others. A great colleague!
