Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures; perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Conduct new-hire orientations; exit interviewing. Act as liaison with benefit vendors; assists associates with benefit issues; communicates and educates associates on benefits processes and procedures. Ensure COBRA compliance, FMLA, LOA qualifying events. Handle annual Worker’s Compensation panels and any claims. Assist in the evaluation and planning on the management of all benefit programs to ensure the Company obtains the best products and services at a competitive price. Attend and participate in professional groups, committees and webinars, stay abreast of new trends and developments in the field of Human Resources including Health Care Reform and PPACA, training and management, especially in the area of benefits and healthcare costs.
