Second phase of NIPI new born project is being implemented through UNDP. In Odisha the focus is on reducing infant mortality rate. Major tasks: Technical support and facilitation for strengthening SNCU system,strengthening service delivery mechanism at community level, collaborating with NRHM for rolling out of Rashtriya Bal Suraksha Karyakram, RMNCH+A strategy, improving supportive supervision.
