As part of the digital marketing team I ran Westwood World, the brand’s WordPress blog – updating archive content, writing articles surrounding new product launches, sustainability and historical storytelling, working alongside PR, graphic design and buying to help engage readers. I wrote captions for the brand’s Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and Twitter accounts. I reported on statistics of caption performance and presented them for review. I wrote promoted posts, affiliate copy and ads as well our regular email newsletters to targeted subscribers. As the TOV ambassador, I developed the current TOV document alongside the Brand Director and Digital Marketing Manager. During this month-long internship I was predominantly writing fashion and beauty copy for the Because magazine website, scheduling live editorial and social media content using Umbraco and Sprout Social whilst also sub-editing another journalist’s content. The designer relations team hired me for two separate London Fashion Weeks to assist with the load in and out of designers’ collections into the showrooms at 180 The Strand. I spent the majority of my time manning the information desk and answering any questions from both the designers and visitors. It was our aim to ensure all event organisation ran smoothly and any issues were solved fast by using walkie-talkies to communicate effectively with the huge number of other staff involved.
