Luc is the kind of professional who is indispensable to an infrastructure team. He has a personality suited to the job - conscientious, detail-oriented, inquisitive, tenacious, meticulous, and most of all responsible. He takes ownership of the systems he manages, and over the years he has managed a very wide variety of technologies. At Canada Cartage, as Managers came and went, Luc was the backbone of the systems, relied upon by every team to understand what they needed and how he could help them achieve it. He had no trouble picking up a book to learn a new system and begin supporting it. He managed email and telephony systems, SQL databases, Citrix, VMware and Hyper-V infrastructure, SAN storage, CRM, Great Plains, and proprietary reporting tools, and of course server and client deployment, upgrades and support including Active Directory and all backups. He even took responsibility for the climate control and fire safety systems in the server room. And he has a great sense of humour! I was lucky to have him with me on the infrastructure team, and I am proud to call him a friend.
