Well-being Facilitator

Apr 2020 - Mar 2023
Striving to increase emotional literacy and build self-esteem, confidence, resilience, and self-belief within the 8 primary schools I have upon my caseload. I celebrate difference and encourage understanding of others. I work on a 1-1 basis delivering a 6-week intervention tailored to the child and their needs, I also deliver group work with a specific focus (i.e. social skills, friendships, anger management) and whole class sessions to ensure all children are accessing well-being sessions. This is to not only give students the vocabulary and understanding of their feelings, it is empowering them to use coping strategies when they need them in order to manage stress, worries and difficult emotion’s when they arise. I support the training of Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs) and provide termly supervision and support alongside an Educational Psychologist. I create and deliver training for school staff to raise the awareness and importance of embedding well-being into the daily classroom. I also support school staff and parents, working in partnership to support a child consistently in all areas of their lives. Show less
