As a lifeguard at the YMCA I was responsible for ensuring the safety of all members both inside and outside the pool. I was in charge of keeping a log of the chemicals for the day and reporting to my bosses if the chemicals were off. I was also in charge of closing protocols which included putting the covers on the pool and locking the gates. As the camp director of the Marinwood GIT(Guards in training) camp I was responsible for creating a safe and productive environment for future lifeguards to experience what a life guarding job would be like.
