Lisa spoke on our DIY book publicity panel at the AWP conference this spring and offered a valuable perspective on how people could make their voices heard on important topics and earn the respect of the community. She was a friendly, captivating speaker with stories to tell on how to use writing and social media for social good by telling the truth and amplifying unheard voices.

Suzanne LaGrande

At the Grass Roots Radio Conference, Lisa gave an amazing presentation "Tools and Resources for Emerging Independent Journalists -- 7 ways You Can Use Your Cellphone to Document a News Event." Drawing on her vast experience as a journalist and innovator in citizen journalism, she gave a talk that was both practical, and inspiring. The audience, which couldn't fit in the room, loved it and thanks to her fantastic presentation we left with a lot of new ideas as well as renewed enthusiasm. Lisa is an excellent speaker and teacher!
