      As of now, I am working as a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the ICAR-Emeritus Scientist Scheme Research Project entitled "Exploration of natural diversity for selection and evaluation of Panama wilt resistant types, their evaluation for economic traits and mass multiplication protocols through Tissue Culture in two major banana crops " at Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore. Under this research project, I am independently carrying out the field surveys in different banana growing regions. I collect the samples from the disease infested fields, propagate the in the tissue culture lab. Under the guidance of my Principal Investigator, I design in vitro and field experiments that are required to meet the objectives of the project. I am also involved in training undergraduate, graduate and trainees in plant tissue culture aspects. Show less

      Served as a consultant for CIP (International Potato Centre), a CGIAR institute, to provide support for Karnataka project “Establishment of centre for research and development on Potato and Sweet potato” under University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot in collaboration with the International Potato Centre. My roles and responsibilities under this international project involved assisting in establishment of low-cost tissue culture laboratories at different localities and maintaining one such laboratory at Bangalore.
