Working with Kristin at both High Moon Studios and Aspyr has been an amazing experience. She’s always been passionate about the people she works with. Working to make sure everyone feels heard and comfortable broaching their thoughts. While as an animator I didn’t work with lighting all that often directly I did work with Kristin directly as Co-leads for HMS’ women’s network. It was started in a difficult time for the studio but we worked together to create a safe space for people to vent, if needed, while also turning it into a group that worked to learn and better ourselves together and to bring morale back up. I know Kristin was well loved as a lighter there as well. All the work I ever saw of hers looked amazing and her lead always had high praises for her. I worked with Kristin more directly at Aspyr as she was in the group with me for cinematics. Seeing the beginning images before she got her hands on a space and then what it looked like after was always amazing. She would really bring the environments to life. I’ve also been hearing great praises about her as a lead. She’s been there for her team to ask any questions they need of her. She’s been great at scheduling, and she’s even gotten a reputation outside of her own team as someone that people can talk to and ask advice of. In my mind someone that takes care of their team before themselves is a great lead and that’s what Kristin does. She did it as a senior and she’s continued it as a lead.
