As the coordinator for the school wide sustainability department I conducted research and wrote articles centered on sustainability for the Ohlone Green newsletter reaching over 11,000 college students. I created, maintained, and updated the virtual garden tour at the Ohlone College Newark campus, consisting of QR codes that explain the life of each plant in the garden. This aided students in learningmore about their environment by making it accessible for them through their phones. Moreover, I helped create a composting sector within the campus community garden consisting of two large bins, accessible for all students and faculty to distribute their compostable materials. Implementing thissector reduced the amount of waste across campus by 10%.
