Kay is a talented radio maker, producer and presenter. She has the determination and creativity to tell a good story. This became very apparent in her final piece she made for her BA end of year show. Called ‘The Evolution of Listening’, Kay produced an exceptional piece of radio documentation which earned her a high grade in the 90s. This is probably one of the best pieces of audio I have heard in a long time and I’m comparing that to BBC and commercial output. Kay managed to present her work in a way which was playful, engaging, absorbing, professional and captivating. In fact it was hard to tell whether the final piece was radio or art. It certainly created a buzz with the lecturers marking her work. I hope Kay goes on to develop this project further. I have known Kay for several years now and have enjoyed facilitating her learning and development. She is an exceptional hard working student and radio maker. I wish Kay every success in the future.

OK, so why hasn't Radio 1 signed Kay yet? Kay is truly charismatic and follows her dream. This made her a good sales person, but more than that, she has achieved major goals. Few people would show the grit and determination that Kay has shown to break in to radio presenting and production. The same grit and determination saw her complete the London Marathon.
